What does it mean to be an HMF Trustee?

“What struck me the most was the unique vision of both Natalie and Gillian and the incredible energy underpinning making that vision a reality. What has been achieved has been phenomenal and the transformation has been remarkable. I am proud to have been able to contribute to this amazing journey.”

Andy Hodge, Former Treasurer

“With such a clear vision, built on an evidential basis and the drive to help as many families as possible, I couldn’t resist becoming part of the HMF and am enormously grateful for the opportunity to be part of an incredible team.”

Tina Crombie, Trustee

“This is a cause close to my heart but it’s especially exciting being involved in a dynamic ambitious charity that has big goals and exciting ideas about how to make them happen.”

Emma Pickett, Trustee

Would you like to volunteer with the HMF?

HMF is an exciting place to volunteer and we are always looking for people to give a helping hand in the work of our charity. We place great value on the involvement of volunteers, who help with a range of different activities and tasks from collecting and delivering donor milk, helping out at fundraising events, designing / coding, office administration and finance to decision and policy making in committees.

Our volunteers enhance the quality of services provided by the HMF by contributing their time, skills, knowledge and experience. Some volunteers provide regular support, whilst others help on a more ad hoc basis. There are always new ideas and projects going on that you could get involved in.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life. We are very happy to talk to anyone who would like to give something back to the community, including sixth formers or gap year students who would like to gain valuable work experience, those who are unemployed or between jobs, part-time workers or those who have retired.

If you have some spare time and would like to get involved and gain useful skills please get in touch on info@humanmilkfoundation.org for more information.

Volunteer Fundraiser

My volunteering role with the HMF began in 2020. I was sitting at home undergoing treatment for breast cancer and thought it would be an opportunity to do something positive and keep my mind busy! So far I have enjoyed assisting at events, seeking out donations of prizes for raffles and coming up with ideas for fundraising, such as a virtual balloon race. It is exciting to be a part of this growing charity, the team always make me feel appreciated and valued, which I can say, hand on heart made a huge difference to my mental state during my treatment.
